Hey, it’s Imani.
Telling stories that resonate starts with vision. Mine is making everyday challenges—from managing a chronic illness, to trying a first-of-its kind gene therapy, to shrinking gaps in health equity— a little more possible by using words that convey empathy and authenticity, and that empower people to trust in themselves.
I’m a hungry reader, after all, and these are what my favorite novels do for me.
Video Work
Meet a real IMFINZI patient I had the pleasure of interviewing, chatting with on set, and finally turning her story into a focused narrative that gets at the heart of who she is.
Responsibilities: Owned pre-production work including interview discussion guide development, video outlining, shotlist and onboarding conversations with director. Post-production work included paper edit development (determining video storyflow + VO) and providing feedback to director on initial edits.
Spearheading this project at my agency, I worked closely with an art partner to come up with a bold site that would activate doctors to reflect on their current practices and change their behavior.
2026 Manny Winner Best Health Equity/Social Awareness Campaign
2025 MM+M Silver Winner Best Disease Education Campaign
From idea inception to launch, I built a team to bring a pro bono campaign championing health equity for Black expecting mothers to life. GAP-SPIRIN addresses the gap in maternal health outcomes for Black women by directly targeting doctors with a message to meet the needs of their Black patients. Gapspirin is a real medical tool as well as a call to action—stop systemic racism and “close the gap” in preeclampsia care that is leading to preventable deaths for Black mothers.
